Awesome Adventure Weekend in Wales!!

This weekend I had a TERRIFIC time on the coast of WALES!

With a group from my school here, we left on Friday and took two trains to our destination in Pembrokeshire, Wales!!

The lodge we stayed in was very woodsy (and felt like summer camp) with triple bunk beds, big picnic tables in the dining/common room, and a huge window with cows grazing right outside!  Throughout the weekend, we enjoyed hanging out in the common room (playing card games and just relaxing), and warm homey foods like macaroni and cheese, Welch crusty bread and soup, jacket potatoes with loads of toppings, and warm apple crumble!! Yum!

On Saturday, we went kayaking and coasteering! It was an absolutely beautiful day, and we had so much fun on our excursions!! While I was not able to take my camera during the water activities... here are some pictures from us gearing up!  (PS...putting on a wet suit was such a struggle!! Part of the fun of the weekend had to be the number of times my friends and I absolutely could not stop laughing at ourselves during these activities!!)

Kayaking was really fun! The water was a bit choppy, so we were unable to see any dolphins or explore caves, but we did enjoy paddling along the coast and taking in some terrific views!

Coasteering was an absolute blast!  It included swimming, rock climbing/cave exploring, and jumping off of cliffs!!!  I jumped off of three cliffs, with the highest being about 30 feet above the water... what a rush!!!

Back at the lodge we were exhausted from our full days at sea, so we warmed up with a yummy dinner and bonfire too!  One of the guys in our crew also brought his ukulele, so we sang some songs around the fire while taking in the starry night above us!

This morning, our last excursion was taking about a 7 mile hike along the coast!  It was another beautiful day and we encountered absolutely breath taking views! It was the coolest!!!

All in all a spectacular weekend!!  I am so glad I could experience such a fantastic couple of days of new adventures, lots of laughter, and the beautiful country of Wales!!  =)
